Most of the inhabitants of the village of Castrillo Matajudíos voted on the past 25th for the renaming of the town.
The name with the most votes was Castrillo Mota de Judíos. In the consultation participated 52 of the 56 registered residents. A total 29 citizens voted in favor of changing the name , while the 19 left voted against.
Mota refers to a low rise hill rising above a plain. That speck is visible from the main square of the village.
